How to Make a Paper Heart
Like paper rose flower, paper heart is often used to show our heartfelt thanks and utmost appreciation to our beloved one. It shows our sincere affectionate note. Hence, it’s an ideal craft for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and even for Valentine Day.

And make me feeling so GOOD,
Thanks for being great MOMS and DADS,

Your child

Below are step-by-step instructions and photos on how to make a simple paper heart. The illustrations will assist you to visualize each process of making paper heart. To fold paper rose, kindly visit How to make a paper rose.
Step 1

Prepare a piece of square paper. You can use any sizes of square paper which suits your heart best. Place the paper on a flat surface.
Step 2

From step 1, fold the paper in half. While folding, face the colored side of the paper up towards you.
Step 3

From step 2, gently fold the paper into half again.
Step 4

Unfold the paper. You should now have one line dividing the paper into two equal parts, giving you two squares.
Step 5

Fold the bottom right hand corner to create a triangle that aligns at the centre of the paper (top photo). Repeat the same for the other side, aligning the centre point of the paper.
Step 6

From step 5, fold each of the side points of the triangle inward, so that its edge aligns perfectly with the centre line of the paper.
Step 7

Carefully open the triangle at the left top and fold it inward. Do the same for the right hand corner. You should get one pointed triangular section in the middle of the paper.
Step 8

Step 9

From step 8, flip over the paper. Now, cut along the red line upward (top photo). Flip the paper over again. The paper’s front view should look like in the second photo. The red line shows you the paper was cut in its middle.
Step 10

Fold two small triangles downward for each part to make it more rounded. Smooth out the paper heart by applying glue to any opening ends.
Step 11

Fold middle top right point towards the lower right, to trim the top shape of the heart (top photo). Repeat the step for the left hand side. Again, smooth out the paper heart by applying glue to any opening ends.
Step 12

From step 11, turn the paper over. Congratulation! You’re done! You’ve just created one pretty paper heart!
You can now attach this paper heart on top of the envelope, greeting card, poster, picture, photo frame or any art work to show your utmost care and love towards your beloved one.
Make another paper heart, if you desire. It’s simply intoxicating!
